The Costa Rica Women's National Team played the Trinidad & Tobago Women's National Team at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania in a 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship semifinal game, which serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada. Costa Rica advanced to the championship game, and qualified for next year's Women's World Cup, by winning the penalty shootout 3-0 after the game ended in a 1-1 tie after double overtime.
