November 1, 2015: With one out and a runner on third in the top of the 9th, New York Mets third baseman David Wright (5) [4650] cuts in front of a stunned New York Mets shortstop Wilmer Flores (4) [5870] on a ground ball hit to short by Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez (13). With no one to cover third, the runner, Kansas City Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer (35) didn't need to retreat to the bag, instead breaking home on Wright's throw to New York Mets first baseman Lucas Duda (21) [7530], forcing Duda to make a hurried throw which sailed off-line, allowing the tying run to score during the Kansas City Royals' 7-2 victory over the New York Mets in the 5th and deciding game of the 2015 World Series Field in Flushing, NY.
