26 April 2007: Baltimore Orioles announcer Gary Thorne says he misheard Mirabelli's comments about pitcher Curt Schilling and said a "misunderstanding" between him and the Boston Red Sox's Doug Mirabelli led him to mistakenly say on the air Wednesday night that Curt Schilling's famous bloody sock had actually been colored with paint . The Red Sox defeated the Orioles 5-2 to sweep the Orioles in a two game series at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD.
