HOMESTEAD, FL - NOVEMBER 20: Sports history has been made many times in South Florida over the years, but none as recent as Sunday, November 20th when Jimmie Johnson captured his seventh NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He accomplished the feat by taking the checkered flag in the Ford EcoBoost 400, his first win ever at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Johnson's championship puts him in a class with NASCAR Hall of Famers Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt Sr. as the only drivers to win seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series titles, which are the most all time.
