30 April 2004: Jockey Jerry Bailey crosses the finish line wearing advertising on his leg in the Louisville Slugger Cup during the 130th Kentucky Oaks in Louisville, Kentucky. On April 29, U.S. District Judge John Heyburn II blocked a state rule barring jockeys wearing advertising patches, and sided with jockeys who argued that the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority's regulation violated First Amendment rights. Jockeys will be allowed to wear patches in the 130th running of the Kentucky Derby on May 1.
