He had been put in as a pinch runner for Cincinnati Reds left fielder Yonder Alonso (23) who singled to reach. The Cincinnati Reds defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 in ten innings in the final game of a three-game series on Sunday September 4, 2011 at Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis.
