August 06, 2011: Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Jose Valverde came in to help the Tigers beat the Kansas City Royals Saturday at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. The Tigers won the game, 4-3, and Valverde picked up his 32 consecutive save, matching the club record.
