16 MAY 2009: University of Maryland goalkeeper #49 Jason Carter looks to pass upfield during the second period of the NCAA Division I men's lacrosse quarterfinals vs. Syracuse University at Shuart Stadium, located inside Hofstra University's campus in Hempstead, NY. He replaced starting goalie Brian Phipps, who injured himself with 1:02 remaining in the first period. Carter played the remainder of the game and made eight saves in defeat as Syracuse won the game 11-6 to advance to the semifinals.
