07 December 2013: Salt Lake's Nick Rimando saves a penalty attempt by Kansas City's Graham Zusi (not pictured) that would have won the shootout. MLS Cup 2013 was played between Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kansas. Sporting Kansas City won the championship by winning the penalty kick shootout 7-6 after the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
