30 October 2010: Jeffrey Diehl (719 FC) Chevrolet Monte Carlo NHRA Funny Car launches off the line ended up crashing his car before the 1000' line. As seen in this photo, the burst panel dislodged from the body and became stuck in the intake, causing the throttle to be stuck wide open, giving Diehl no chance to save the vehicle after losing traction. He walked away unhurt from the incident. 10th Annual Las Vegas Nationals on The Strip at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas, NV.
