July 24 2013: While batting in the 4th inning, New York Mets third baseman David Wright (5) has his bat broken while grounding into a double play. Wright was shaken up briefly as the barrel of the broken bat hit him in the back of the head on the backswing. Wright would ultimately stay in the game, which ended in an 8-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves at Citi Field in Flushing, NY.
