14 March 2008: Washington Nationals' catcher Humberto Cota in action during a Spring Training game against the Cleveland Indians at Space Coast Stadium, in Viera, Florida. The Nationals defeated the visiting Indians 8-4 as both teams fielded split squads home and away. The 29-year-old Cota played parts of the last seven seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates, hitting .233 with 12 home runs and 61 RBI in 196 career games. He signed a minor league contract with Washington last November, but was let go in mid-March and signed a minor league deal with the Rockies.
