30 March 2008: Washington Nationals' third baseman Ryan Zimmerman hits a game-winning, walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat the Atlanta Braves, capping off the inauguration of Nationals Park in Washington, DC. The Nationals 3-2 win over the Braves opened the season, and christened the new state-of-the-art ballpark to a sellout crowd of 39,389.
