11 April 2008: Philadelphia Flyers left wing Patrick Thoresen (25) of Norway falls the ice after being hit in groin by a slap shot from Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green of Canada in the 3rd period in the Eastern Conference NHL quarterfinal playoff game at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Thoresen was taken to the hospital as the Capitals defeated the Flyers 5-4 in the first game of the Eastern Conference NHL quaterfinal playoff game.
