03 December 2005: Players of the Naval Academy Midshipmen Navy carry off the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy for the third straight year, a first in school history. The coveted trophy, awarded annually to the winner of the football competition between the three major service academies, was on the line for both teams for the first time in nine years and was won by Navy who defeated Army 42-23 on December 3, 2005 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
