Circa 1991: Brien Taylor of East Carteret HS in Beaufort, North Carolina is the first overal pick in the Major League Baseball amateur draft for the New York Yankees. Taylor speaks to the media on his first day in uniform for the Yankees at the Yankees Complex in Tampa, Florida. Taylor pitched 7 seasons, never reached the majors and never climbed higher then AA ball. Taylor was drafted ahead of such major leaguers as Manny Ramirez, Cliff Floyd and Shawn Green.
