31 December 2008: Punter Johnny Hekker accepts the John Folmer Special Teams Player of the Game trophy. The freshman averaged 45 yards per kick and half of his ten punts landed inside the opponents 20 yard line. The Oregon State Beavers defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers 3-0 in the 75th annual Brut Sun bowl played at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas.
