Apr 05, 2008 - St. Peteresburg, Russia - Russian speed skater and Olympic champion SVETLANA ZHUROVA, carries the Olympic torch past a monument of Peter the Great, in St. Petersburg. The torch was carried by 80 runners on a 20-kilometer (12-mile) route that wound past some of the city's most famous sites including St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Petropavlovsk fortress before ending on Palace Square outside the Hermitage.
