The penalty was converted by US teammate Landon Donovan (not pictured) in the 62nd minute to tie the game 1-1. The United States Men's National Team defeated the national team of Mexico 2-1 in the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois.
