4 June 2010: FIU's Garrett Wittels (10) bats in the eighth inning as the Texas A&M Aggies defeated the FIU Golden Panthers, 17-3, in Game 1 of the 2010 NCAA Coral Gables Regional at Alex Rodriguez Park in Coral Gables, Florida. With his double in the sixth inning, Wittels extended his hitting streak to 55 games, moving within three games of Oklahoma State's Robin Ventura, who holds the NCAA Division I record with a 58-game hitting streak in 1987.
