27 March 2007: #425 Tobias Joos of Germany runs across the gorge of El Maharch during third stage of the 22nd Marathon des Sables between jebel El Oftal and jebel Zireg (20.07 miles). The Marathon des Sables is a 6 days and 151 miles endurance race with food self sufficiency across the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Each participant must carry his, or her, own backpack containing food, sleeping gear and other material.
