American record holder (100, 200 yard breastroke, and 400 yard medley relay) and Stanford Cardinal women's swimmer Tara Kirk swims the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:27.30 during Stanford's 169.5-125.5 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils on January 23, 2004 at the Avery Aquatic Center in Stanford, CA. Kirk has been the NCAA champion in the 100 yard breaststroke in each of her first three years, and the NCAA champion in the 200 breaststroke in her sophomore and junior years.
