10 November 2006: Former 125 and 250cc world champion Sebastien Tortelli, in front of his home fans at the 24th Paris Bercy Supercross, formally confirmed that, because of the repeated injuries he has suffered over the years, he will retire at the age of 28. The annual Paris Bercy Supercross, in Paris, France, is a three days event, with the King of Bercy crowned at the conclusion, where France is pitted against USA and "The Rest of World".
