1 August 2013: A layer of real grass sod was installed over the stadium's artificial field turf for a Guinness International Champions Cup tournament soccer match between Chelsea FC and Inter Milan at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The stadium roof was opened to ensure the grass stayed green for the match.
