Jack Wienert joined ESPN in 1994 and has served as executive director for the X Games events and Great Outdoor Games, beginning with the inaugural X Games in 1995 (then called the Extreme Games). Wienert, who assumed his current title in April 2000 when the ESPN Original Entertainment Events group was established, now oversees all X Games-related properties including X Games, Winter X Games, X Games Global Championship, International X Games (Asia and Latin America) and additional X Games branded properties.
