29 May 2006: Portrait of comedian Vic Reeves who was an interested spectator during the 2006 Coopers Hill Cheese Rolling and Wake held on Coopers Hill near the village of Brockworth in Gloucestershire. Cheese Rolling takes place annually on Spring Bank Holiday Monday. It involves competitors hurling themselves down a very steep slope after a 7-8lb Double Gloucester cheese which has been rolled from the top. The first person to arrive at the foot of the hill wins the cheese. The slope has a gradient that is in places 1-in-2 and in others 1-in-1, its surface is very rough and uneven and it is almost impossible to remain on foot for the descent. Injuries incurred are usually minor and competitors (particularly the successful ones) enter again year after year.
