17 April 2012: Ice maintenance crew scrape off an octopus thrown onto the ice by a fan, in the third period of Game 4 of the NHL Western Conference Quarter-finals series with the Nashville Predators at the Detroit Red Wings, at Joe Louis Arena, in Detroit, MI. The Predators won 3-1. The throwing of octopuses is a Red Wings tradition during the playoffs, usually to celebrate a goal scored by Detroit.
