26 March 2007: A runner reaches summit of jebel El Otfal, 947 meters and an average 25% slope, as an helicopter is passing by, during the second stage (21.7 miles) of the 22nd Marathon des Sables between Khermou and jebel El Otfal. The Marathon des Sables is a 6 days and 151 miles endurance race with food self sufficiency across the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Each participant must carry his, or her, own backpack containing food, sleeping gear and other material.
