12 March 2008: Washington Capitals left wing Alexander Ovechkin (8) fires a shot in the 2nd period against the defense of Calgary Flames defenseman Cory Sarich (6) at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The Capitals defeated the Flames 3-2 as Alex Ovechkin scored his 56th goal of the season and goalie Olie Kolzig earned his 300th career win.
