5 June 2010: FIU's Garrett Wittels (10) hits a double in the first inning as the Dartmouth Green Wave defeated the FIU Golden Panthers, 15-9, in Game 3 of the 2010 NCAA Coral Gables Regional at Alex Rodriguez Park in Coral Gables, Florida. With the double, Wittels extended his hitting streak to 56 games, moving within two games of Oklahoma State's Robin Ventura, who holds the NCAA Division I record with a 58-game hitting streak in 1987.
