5 June 2010: FIU's Garrett Wittels (10) bats in the fourth inning as the Dartmouth Green Wave defeated the FIU Golden Panthers, 15-9, in Game 3 of the 2010 NCAA Coral Gables Regional at Alex Rodriguez Park in Coral Gables, Florida. With his first-inning double, Wittels extended his hitting streak to 56 games, moving within two games of Oklahoma State's Robin Ventura, who holds the NCAA Division I record with a 58-game hitting streak in 1987.
