Apr 24, 2006; Cloudbreak, Tavarua, Fiji, FIJI; Australian Melanie Redman-Carr (Dunsborough, Western Australia) surged into the quarter finals and kept her Roxy Pro title hopes alive today when she stamped her authority on the waves at Cloudbreak on Tavarua Island in Fiji. Redman-Carr, who won the event in 2002, scored a convincing victory in round one when she trounced fellow Australian Rebecca Woods (Copocanna, NSW) and French surfer Caroline Sarran. In round three Redman-Carr posted another overwhelming victory over Brasilian Jacqueline Silva and is now matched with Hawaiian Keala Kennelly in the quarter finals. The Roxy Pro presented by Samsung is the second event on the 2006 women
