31 March 2007: #3 Muhamad Ahansal of Morocco runs to the finish line waiving Morocco national banner en route to win the sixth and final stage of the 22nd Marathon des Sables between erg Chebbi dunes and village of Merzouga (7.27 miles). The Marathon des Sables is a 6 days and 151 miles endurance race with food self sufficiency across the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Each participant must carry his, or her, own backpack containing food, sleeping gear and other material.
