31 March 2007: #6 Didi Toura (left) of Morocco and #347 Laurence Fricotteaux (right) of France runs together to the finish line waiving Morocco national banner during sixth and final stage of the 22nd Marathon des Sables between erg Chebbi dunes and village of Merzouga (7.27 miles). Laurence Fricotteaux wins the women race, Didi Toura finishes second. The Marathon des Sables is a 6 days and 151 miles endurance race with food self sufficiency across the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Each participant must carry his, or her, own backpack containing food, sleeping gear and other material.
