5 June 2012: Supporters celebrate as Wisconsin Governor elect Scott Walker, Republican, has been declared the winner by a media outlet in an election to recall Walker in a race against Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (Democrat) during a rally at the Waukesha County Exposition Center in Waukesha, WI. Walker won the election and becoming the first United States sitting governor to win a recall election. Two past governors, Gray Davis in California in 2003, and North Dakota Governor Lynn Frazier in 1921, lost recall elections.
