5 June 2012: Wisconsin Governor elect Scott Walker, Republican, speaks with supporters after defeating Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (Democrat) in a recall election during a rally at the Waukesha County Exposition Center in Waukesha, WI. Walker won reelection and became the first United States sitting governor to win a recall election. Two past governors, Gray Davis in California in 2003, and North Dakota Governor Lynn Frazier in 1921, lost recall elections.
