08 February 2012: 2012 CHRYSLER 300: Freshened last year, the Chrysler 300 series continues its iconic rear-wheel-drive configuration, avant-garde exterior features, upgraded interiors and for 2012, the first eight-speed automatic transmission in a domestic luxury sedan. Initially, the ZF-licensed eight-speed gearbox with steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters will be mated exclusively to the 292 horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, including AWD models. The result is a boost in performance and fuel mileage. Trim levels are the base 300, Limited, 300C and performance-tuned SRT8, plus two new models - the 300S and 300C Luxury. Stock power on the 300C is the 363 hp 5.7L V8. A 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that pumps out 470 hp and 470 ft. lbs. of torque is standard on the STR8. Both V8s come with five-speed automatic transmissions. The five-passenger interior of the 300 exudes luxury and the trunk handles 16.3 cubic feet of luggage. Available on some series is the Uconnect Touch 8.4 with an 8.4-inch
