25 September 2006: Journalists from around the world attending the 1st World Press Briefing for the 2008 Olympics are led on a tour of the construction site for China's National Olympic Stadium, nicknamed the "Bird's Nest" for its unique architectural designs. The stadium will be the centerpiece venue for the Beijing 2008 games and will be the site for the opening and closing ceremonies, football finals, and athletics. Beijing is gearing up its preparations work to be the host of the 29th Summer Olympic Games in 2008.
