Natascha Badmann (SUI) is the first woman to cross the finish line with a time of 9:09:30 in the 140.6-mile Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, October 15, 2005. Participants in the 27-year-old endurance race must complete a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike and a 26.2 mile run.
