23 September 2007: The Washington Nationals commemorate the very last professional baseball game at RFK Stadium with a special patch on their jerseys. The final game was against the Philadelphia Phillies at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington, DC. The Nationals defeated the visiting Phillies 5-3 to close out the 2007 home season. The Nationals will open up the 2008 season at Nationals Park, their new facility currently under construction.
