23 September 2007: Washington Nationals Presidential Mascot Teddy Roosevelt finally makes it into the stadium for the very last mascot race at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington, DC. The Nationals defeated the visiting Philadelphia Phillies 5-3 to close out the 2007 home season. The Nationals will open up the 2008 season at Nationals Park, their new facility currently under construction.
