11 February 2009: 2009 ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOM: One of the most opulent and luxurious vehicle on the road is the Rolls-Royce Phantom 4-door sedan. Bold and distinctive features include the chrome plated aluminum grille, long hood, and Spirit of Ecstasy mascot. A long wheelbase is crucial to achieve the classic Rolls-Royce look; and the roofline needs to blend into a wide 'C' pillar. The 5-passenger Phantom features rear-hinged coach doors, discreet rear window, and the diameter of the 21-inch wheel and tires are roughly half the height of the car. At the heart Phantom is an all-aluminum V-12 that produces 453hp and an incredible 531 lb ft of torque. With a gross vehicle weight of 6724lbs, the Phantom can still fly from 0-60mph in just 5.7sec and reach a top speed of 149mph.
